ABOUT OUR WORKSHOPS

Academy of Art and Culture organizes theatre workshops since the year 2000.
Workshops are focused on individual work in small groups.
We work on:

Strong concentration
Consciousness of body
Open voice
Alive imagination
Cooperation with partners, space and objects

This workshop is for You if:

You like theatre and wish to develop your hobby
You want to work on yourself
You wish to open your voice and body
You want to learn how to use your emotions
You want to learn how to work on text
You thing about becoming a professional actor

Any of those motivations is sufficient to participate in the workshop!
Attention! You have to be at least 16 years old.

We are located in the centre of Warsaw, but we also organize workshops in other towns.

We lead:

short one- or two-days workshops
longer, ten-days intensive workshops during Summertime
one-year training (only in Warsaw)

The leading language is Polish, but English can also be spoken.

We can lead theatre workshop in English in our seat in Warsaw or in your own space:

1. One-day / Weekend Workshop…

…is the most popular workshop. It is organized:

as a course for teachers and instructors leading their own theatre groups
as a support for young theatre groups (in schools, in social centers)

This is a great start for your own practice!

2. One-week / Ten-days / Two-weeks Workshop…

…is organized as a youth camp.

We can lead it for your tourist agency; for your holiday centre; for your social centre.

LEADER

Piotr Filonowicz (1977) is a graduate of Theatre Academy in Warsaw and founder of two theatre groups: Teatr Drzewo Peruna (Tree of Perun Theatre) and Teatr 108. He leads actor's training, creates performances (The Son of The Oak, Burn The Orphaned Mother, Egle), organizes theatre expeditions (Lithuania, Ukraine, Kazakhstan).
He participated in many theatre workshops (with Thomas Richards and Mario Biaggini from Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards, with Eugenio Barba from Odin Theatret, with actors from Teatr Gardzienice).
He also leads theatre workshops in high schools and in Academy of Art and Culture since 2000.
